Leave your Project Logistics to the Experts

Asha international Logistics is specialised in the project management and transportation of heavy equipment and cargo for a wide range of industries that include but are not limited to oil, gas, power and petrochemicals. With our network of international operations, our experienced specialists have the required expertise to manage the logistics for your large-scale projects to any destination worldwide. Be it a hangar roof at Heathrow Airport, a steam generator in the USA, boiler modules in the Middle East, a 1,200-tonne reactor vessel in Japan or a power grid in Malaysia, our experienced international project teams co-ordinate the logistics from planning support, site surveys and cargo analysis to job-site delivery and risk assessments. Our one-stop concept empowers us to:

  • Manage milestone goals, scope and timeline
  • Have total visibility of your project
  • Provide a single contact point to simplify communication

Our services include:

Planning and Consulting:

This crucial part of the logistics process encompasses feasibility, background and transportation studies; route assessment; inspection of disembarkation point; meeting with relevant authorities and affected parties; carrying out surveys; providing risk assessment; plans; blueprints; and project cost estimates.

Project Management :

We manage the processes, providing suitable resources and the required equipment at the right place and time, thereby controlling the project timelines and milestones. We plan, organise and manage the project, focusing on successfully completing the task, based on the project scope, time and budget.

Project Engineering :

Given the heterogeneous nature of projects and the accompanying dynamics of the various situations and conditions, we customise the logistics for every job on hand. For example, ground and site preparation for the clearing of primary forestation; compacting, stablising and grading of landing sites; fabrication of lifting supports, beams and cradles; and provision of temporary jetties to facilitate on/off-loading.

Packing Management

Optimised packing procedures ultimately lead to significant savings in packaging material, warehousing and freight costs. This, in turn, greatly reduces carbon emissions, waste and risk of damage. We analyse your cargo, packing and logistics processes on site to identify cost drivers, risk potentials and environmentally critical practices.

Supervision :

Supercargoes are designated for on-site supervision to ensure safety of cargo, personnel and premises, and to make certain that contractors meet their targets and deadlines, equipment meets the job requirements and works are carried out in a timely manner.

Co-ordination :

A project co-ordinator is an important link between the project manager, the site supervision crew and the customer. Assisting the project manager in the day-to-day administration of the project, the co-ordinator is responsible for maintaining efficient communication, transparency of information flow and effective working relationships throughout the duration of the project.

Cost Control :

Implementing procedures to aid cost control in the various project phases is a key to cost reduction. This will comprise proper accounting and monitoring of financial transactions, control of resource utilisation, fulfilment of original design plan, identification of deviations, effective communication, integration of information and continuous budget evaluation.

Loading/Unloading Ships/Barges/LCTs :

This includes scheduling, berthing and ballasting for vessel-related services and lashing and securing, “hot works”, dunnage/choking and provision of supporting structures for cargo-related services.

Risk Assessment :

An important phase in the process of project planning, risk assessment involves the calculation of key risk components such as magnitude of potential loss, probability of loss occurrence and danger to environment/public health. Risk assessment is also vital for financial decisions, such as insurance coverage. Once a risk is identified, effective risk control measures can be immediately implemented.
